- Lutz Schmitt
This talk is relevant to UX Designers, Service Designers and Information Architects.
Everything is connected. Everything has a relation to the environment it resides in. Design is not about the object itself, but designing those connections and relations. With this talk, we will re-visit theories of Lucius Burckhardt, Professor for sociology and city planning, with current approaches on systemic design.
While the internet was still decades away from becoming a world changing technology, his theories on what would be later called systemic design, are valuable lessons to today’s world, that undergoes a digital transformation.
